How to Merge PDF Files for Free, Without Installing Anything
Need to send several PDFs as one file? Here is how to join them in the right order, for free, on your phone or computer, without uploading your documents anywhere.

You have a CV in one file, a certificate in another and a reference letter in a third. The form you are filling in only lets you attach one PDF. Or a client sent you the contract in three parts. Whatever the reason, you need several PDF files to become one, and you want to do it quickly, for free, and without handing your documents to a stranger's server.
The good news is that you do not need to install anything. Your phone or computer browser can do it.
Why merging PDFs is so common
Job and scholarship applications often ask for a single file. Banks and offices want your ID, proof of address and a form together. Schools collect assignments in one PDF. Joining files keeps everything in order and makes it harder for a page to get lost.
How to merge PDF files in four steps
1. Open the Merge PDF tool.
2. Press "Choose PDF files", or drag your PDFs onto the box. You can pick two or more.
3. Use the arrows to put the files in the order you want. Remove any file you added by mistake.
4. Press "Merge PDFs", then "Download merged.pdf". That is it.
The page counts shown next to each file help you check that nothing is missing before you merge.
Is it safe to merge private documents online
This is a fair question, because many PDF websites upload your files to their servers. The tool above works differently. The files are joined inside your own browser, on your own device, so they are never sent anywhere. That matters for IDs, bank statements, medical papers and contracts.
What if a PDF will not open
If one file shows an error, it may be damaged, or it may be protected with a password. Password-protected PDFs cannot be joined directly. Open the file, remove the password with whatever program you used to set it, save a copy, and add that copy instead.
Tips for a clean result
Keep your file names clear, such as "1-cover-letter.pdf" and "2-cv.pdf", so you can see the order at a glance. Check the page count before you merge. And if the final file is too big for an email or a form, you can shrink it with the Compress PDF tool.
Need only some pages from a file
If you want to join only certain pages, or remove a page first, use the Split and Organise PDF tool. You can delete pages, rotate them, move them around, and then download the file or split it into parts.
Making a PDF from photos
If your documents are photos or scans on your phone, turn them into a PDF first with the Image to PDF converter, then merge the result with your other files.
All the tools are free, need no sign-up and run in your browser. You can see the full list on the free tools page.
